DEER LAKE, NL – Western Health is notifying a potential public site of COVID-19 exposure at a Deer Lake business on November 24.
In a Dec. 9 statement, Western Health said anyone who visited the Great Canadian Dollar Store at 14 Church St. in Deer Lake between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, should be tested for COVID-19.
We are announcing potential exposure to COVID-19. Anyone who has visited the site on this date and time is invited to organize a COVID-19 test:

Anyone who has visited the location and exhibits symptoms of COVID-19 are required to self-isolate for up to 24 hours after their symptoms resolve and they are given a negative test result.
Those who have visited the premises and are not showing any symptoms are not required to self-isolate until they receive a negative test result. While waiting for their test result, people should watch for symptoms and self-isolate if symptoms occur.
